WAN-IFRA Magazine interviews Tribune Company for a feature Q&A that delves into Tribune’s work with Mediaspectrum to tackle self-service advertising. Reporter Brian Veseling speaks with Mike Sacks (Tribune’s VP of Operations) to understand how the platform was built, and is today bringing new advertisers and revenue to Tribune.
Sacks is quoted, “It’s really opened up a pipeline for us to get to a much finer level of smaller advertisers than you could typically do with salespeople.”
“We think it is different from all the other systems we have deployed at Tribune Company because it’s so much more of a platform where you can innovate on top of it…We built in the flexibility to respond to what’s around the corner that we can’t see.”
“We are using the expertise of what we’ve built, which is the tools that Mediaspectrum has, as well as the intellectual property that we have at Tribune, and going to market together so we can hopefully have a rising tide that will raise all the boats in the Unites States.”
